Customer Review: Only 6 hours of cool!!!!

This fan is a great idea and it works well - until it breaks!!! Which happened six hours after we turned it on!!! The white metal within the oscillating head seems a bit weak, which is where the mechanism cracked.
Phone calls to the number listed within the product go unanswered, as does email to info@windchaser.com.
Really disappointed! I paid extra for 1 day shipping, which was equal to half the cost of the fan!!!!

This Windchaser fan is a great idea but falls short in usefulness. Once we got the two of them set up, the wind continued to blow them over, over and over again. We finally turned them off and left them laying on the ground. We tried again on another day with the same result. The base is far too light to secure these fans. We thought about getting sandbags to put on the base. Inspection of the underside of the base shows plenty of area where weight could be added. If the fans hadn't been scratched and dented from the continual falling over, we would have returned them. We do not recommend buyng them unless you plan to put extra weight on the base to stabilize them.Customer Review: Unrepairable within 20 minutes

My fan ran at high speed for a cooling 20 minutes. The fan blades then suddenly let loose with a loud bang, and destroyed part of the protective grid at the back.
Inspection showed that the rotating fan had dislodged the plastic screw holding the blades in place. In the process, the plastic threads that were designed to hold the screw were stripped, so there was no way that the blades could be tightened back into position.
I think it is hardly worth the high cost of shipping this large fan back. I don't want a second one. Use by the manufacturer of inferior materials is the cause for this fan's quick demise.

I received the misting fan, although I thought it was something else, it is a good product. Just that it was not what I needed it for. It is used more for outside use and I had bought it to use on an enclosed porch to cool for my parrots, it puts to much mist in the air and gets everything really wet. I will be using it outside on the patio rather then in the parrot room. So yes is a good productCustomer Review: Lack Of Air & To Much Water

For a high velocity fan it is lacking in comparison with other high velocity fans that we own.
The misting feature sprays a lot of water. You will get soaked if you are within 10 feet or so from the fan.
