Bought one just to see the performance. The cigarette adapter sold me. I have a small off grid solar power system that can handle DC appliances (ones that plug into a cigarette lighter socket). And at 13.5 W of energy consumption, it's a great humidifier for my greenhouse and orchids. Great for my office also.
Description of WindChaser HUL30 Portable Ultrasonic Cool-Mist Humidifier with Light
The ultrasonic cool mist humidifier uses high frequency sound vibrations to break up water into a visible extremely fine mist. The humidifier has a high and low setting and has a visible blue and green light that illuminates the mist. The cool mist adds humidity without making the air feel "muggy". The mist provides soothing relief and since boiling is not used to produce steam, it is better suited for use in situations where a child or baby is involved, as accidental scalding or burns will not be involved. The mist produced contains no molds and comparatively few live bacteria. The compact designed humidifier has a mist capacity of 1.8 liters/day, 75 ml/ hour and a water tank capacity 1.9 pints (900ml)Allergy, Sinus & Asthma
